Indian
Lake, Still the Scene to Make
by SeeIndianLake.Net Staff

Indian Lake is a scene you
should make with your little one. Just keep it in mind if you're lookin'
to find a place in the summer sun. Swim in the cove, have a snack in the
grove or you can rent a canoe. At Indian Lake you'll be able to make the
way the Indians do.
The Cowsills, Indian Lake, MGM Records
1968
Although it may not have been the
inspiration for the song, The Cowsill's 1968 theme of the same name,
Indian Lake epitomized the sentiment felt by all that had ever
traveled to and lived in the area, especially during the years of the
Million Dollar Playground.
From the big-band era to the
rock-and-roll years, 'the Park' as it is commonly known, provided live
entertainment, amusement rides and games for the whole family. Millions of
fun seekers found their way here from across the state and beyond, making
it one of the most popular attractions in its heyday.
Although the amusement park is long
gone, Indian Lake continues to attract thousands of visitors to take
advantage of the small-town atmosphere and its natural beauty.
