Wacky boats / Parrot Head Party

The Indian Lake Elks Lodge hosts its annual Wacky Boat Races and Parrothead Party all day Saturday, Aug. 2, with boat races beginning at noon. Proceeds go to cerebral palsy research.

Summer Meal Program

The Tri County Community Action Commission sponsors the Summer Food Service Program for Children, offering free meals to all children 18 and under and adults with mental and physical disabilities at various locations throughout the county June 9 through Aug. 19.
Meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Chippewa Neighborhood Outreach Center, 13976 Ironwood Ave., Lakeview.
